She thought she understood what she was doing. Now she's confused and begins to think she's been misled.
Did her mentors at the community college, in assuring her that she was the type of student who'd feel comfortable in any academic setting, mislead her? Did her friends, in insisting that regardless of her age and race she was "DU material," that she had "the right stuff," and that the University of Denver would be damned lucky to have her, mislead her?
